Pandemic fuels demand for rural homes

Prime property hunters say that having a dedicated space for remote working is now a bigger priority, a survey has found. 
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, people are likely to be working from home much more; the research suggests that buyers at the top end of the market are therefore expanding their search out into well-connected rural areas, so they can split their time between home and the office.
According to another survey asking people where in the country they would like to move to, Cornwall is the top dream location, followed by Devon, the Lake District, Yorkshire and London.

The top ten is made up by Dorset, Scotland, the Peak District, Wales and Norfolk. Top of the list for choice of location is the countryside (28%), living by the sea (27%) and being closer to woodlands (16%).
